Welcome to the John Ed Mathison Activity Center, home of Frazer’s Activity Ministry. We are dedicated to growing the whole person, so we sponsor and house a variety of opportunities for adults and children of all ages. These activities include aerobics, basketball for all ages, soccer, softball, classes on a variety of health and fitness topics, and one-day sports clinics in the sports we sponsor as well as in golf, tennis and cheerleading. We also hold tournaments for those who enjoy pool, ping pong, golf, pickleball, bumper pool and flag football.
This facility itself contains room and equipment for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton. There is a 1/13 mile elevated indoor track, locker rooms for men and women, children’s playground, game room, aerobics room, weight room and cardiovascular workout room.
The Activity Center is open to members of Frazer UMC and their guests (maximum of five per member). A one-time 30-day pass is available for prospective members. Non-members who regularly attend church and Sunday School will be issued a one-time 30-day pass. Members and guests will be required to check in at the front desk before using the equipment or facilities. An orientation session is required before using the weight room and cardiovascular room (Cost: $5). There is a $1 refundable deposit required to check out game room equipment.
New semesters of First Place, a Christ-centered nutrition program, start on a regular basis. For information, contact
webservant@frazerumc.org. Our Sportsmen’s Ministry offers gun safety classes and an annual wild game dinner. Other seminars include women’s self defense, scrapbooking and CPR certification. Watch the web site for information about upcoming events.
UPWARD BASKETBALL
Registrations accepted during the month of October for boys and girls grade K4 - 9th Grade. Games will be played in January and February 2008. Cost is $60 per person
Quick Soccer (5 on 5)
For Men (ages 18 and up), Register in October, cost is $30 per person. Games will be played November - February.
Church League Basketball
For Men (ages 18 and up), Register in October, cost is $25 per person. Games will be played November - February.
Aerobics
For all adults ages 18 and up. Classes are held year round, Mon - Fri 9am - 10am, and Mon, Tue, Thurs from 6pm - 7pm. Cost is $1 per class.
Pickup Volleyball
For all adults ages 18 and up, games are played year round, Mondays and Thursdays, 7pm - 9pm. Games open for all members and their guests. There is no cost to play.
Pickup Basketball
For all adults ages 18 and up, games are played year round, Tuesday evenings, 7pm - 9pm. Games open for all members and their guests. There is no cost to play.
Senior Adult Aerobics
For Senior Adults, classes are held year round on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8am - 9am. There is no cost for these classes.
JEMAC Hours of Operation
Monday through Thursday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. - Noon
Gym and game room closed during all worship services.
