Support Groups

A Divorce Recovery Support Group meets each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Frazer Memorial UMC, 6000 Atlanta Highway in the Fellowship Hall Lobby. For information, call Lowell at 272-8622.

Singles’ Small Groups meet each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Frazer Memorial UMC, 6000 Atlanta Highway in the Fellowship Hall Lobby. For information, call Lowell at 272-8622.

TNT (Tuesday Night Together) for Singles meets each Tuesday from 7 – 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, Building 7000, at Frazer UMC, 6000 Atlanta Hwy. A meal ($4.00) and program are provided. To make a reservation, call the Singles office, 272-8622. 

A Grief Recovery Support Group meets each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in room 3105 at Frazer Memorial UMC, 6000 Atlanta Highway in the Fellowship Hall Lobby. For information, the church office at 272-8622. 

Celebrate Recovery meets each Thursday at 6:30 pm in room 7209 at Frazer UMC, 6000 Atlanta Hwy. This is a Christ-centered 12-Step group for anyone struggling with “addictions or life-challenging issues.” For additional information, please call the church office at 272-8622. 

A Dementia Day Care is held each Thursday at Frazer Memorial UMC, 6000 Atlanta Highway, in room 3106 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. On the first Thursday  the hours will be extended to 1 p.m. while the daytime Caregivers’ Support Group meets. Only during this time will each participant need to bring a sack lunch. There is no charge. For more information, please call Bev at 277-1116.    

An Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers’ Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. and 7 p.m. in room 3103 at Frazer Memorial UMC, 6000 Atlanta Highway. For information, please call Vicki at 215-0638 or the church at 272-8622. 

The Lupus Support Group will meet the second Thursday of each month at Frazer Memorial UMC. The group will meet in the Room 3101 from 6 – 7:30 pm. You will learn from people living with lupus and from experts on how to live a quality life with this systemic disorder. Family members and significant others are invited. If you have questions, please call the church at 272-8622.  

An MDA/ALS Support Group meets the third Thursday of each month from 6– 8 p.m. in room 3101 at Frazer UMC. Anyone who is affected by a neuromuscular disease or family members of those affected are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions or would like to receive further information on MDA or ALS, please contact Jennifer Young at 396-4534. 

A Diabetes Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in room 7205 at Frazer UMC. The group gives information and support to individuals who are struggling with diabetes or have family members with diabetes. For more information, contact the church office at 272-8622.   This group will not meet during the summer.

A Special Needs Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Frazer UMC from 6:30-8:30 in room 1503 (Cokebury Room). This is a new group for families of special needs children/teens/young adults/adults. The purpose of the group is to offer support and share information relevant to special needs. For more information call Carol at 271-1419.  This group will not meet during the summer.

A Parkinson’s Support Group meets the fourth Thursday at 6 p.m. in room 3103 at Frazer UMC. This group is for those who have Parkinson’s disease and the family members of those affected by this disease. For more information, contact the church office at 272-8622 

A Hospice Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in room 3103.  This group offers support and information to families and caregivers of hospice patients.  For more information contact Suzy at 558-7334.

A Deployment Support Group meets the first Wednesday of each month 6:30 p.m. in Room 3106. This group supports the families of our deployed soldiers. This is a time of fellowship, encouragement and sharing following a brief devotion. Childcare will be provided. Call Joanne Peterson at 272-5242 with any questions.
